ANYA RICE

I lived in the rural county of Cornwall from 2013 to July 2021, and was immediately surprised by the number of talented craftspeople in the area, selling their work to top retailers such as Liberty, Selfridges and Heals.

The Make: Cornwall project started when I approached my writing partner, Katherine Sorrell, to see if she was interested in self-publishing a book about contemporary craft in the South West. In 2017, we began to research the makers we wanted to feature, while learning as much as we could about the self-publishing process. 2018 was spent photographing the makers, and designing the book. Make; Cornwall was self-published in July 2019.

The book can be purchased here and from fine stockists throughout the South West. To purchase the work of those featured in the book, please follow the links to their websites.
